TCWT: Is there one particular book that changed your life? If so, why did you originally choose to read it? What impact has it had on you?
ZH: Oh, that's so hard. My God, that's a tough one. I love all the books I read. But I'd have to say, The Giver by Lois Lowry. I originally read it on a book recommendation from my cousin. I was in 4th Grade and I wound up rereading it for school in 5th Grade. I liked it better without my teacher giving me quizzes and tests throughout the book. Anyway, I'm rambling. The impact it's had on me is that I don't take things for granted. I didn't before, but since I read it all those years ago, I make sure to live in the moment. Even though pain is not enjoyable, it is a part of life and I'd rather be caring and feeling emotion than living a dull life.

I'm a self-published author— because being a college student wasn't hard enough! I write YA multi-genre fiction for young adults or the young at heart. I love This Is Us, NCIS, BBC's Sherlock,
