This is what I expected of Four's perspective to be in Allegiant after Free Four! These four short stories from his POV are each solid, interesting peeks into his history and into him as a character. Some I liked more than others (e.g. I liked the first two short stories, The Transfer and The Initiate, more than the latter two, The Son and The Traitor, liking The Son least). However, those are personal preferences on which areas of Four's history I was most interested in.
Writing wise, they were all solid pieces, but as a collection, it didn't quite blow me away like Free Four had. So, like his nickname, Four now has 4 stars in addition to 4 fears.

Fans of the Divergent series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth will be thrilled by these four stories, each between fifty and seventy-five pages long, told from the perspective of the immensely popular character Tobias. The four pieces included in this ebook bundle—“Four: The Transfer,” “Four: The Initiate,” “Four: The Son,” and “Four: The Traitor”—give readers an electrifying glimpse into the history and heart of Tobias, and set the stage for the epic saga of the Divergent trilogy.
Two years before Beatrice Prior made her choice, the sixteen-year-old son of Abnegation’s faction leader did the same. Tobias’s transfer to Dauntless is a chance to begin again. Here, he will not be called the name his parents gave him. Here, he will not let fear turn him into a cowering child.
Newly christened “Four,” he discovers during initiation that he will succeed in Dauntless. Initiation is only the beginning, though; Four must claim his place in the Dauntless hierarchy. His decisions will affect future initiates as well as uncover secrets that could threaten his own future—and the future of the entire faction system.
Two years later, Four is poised to take action, but the course is still unclear. The first new initiate who jumps into the net might change all that. With her, the way to righting their world might become clear. With her, it might become possible to be Tobias once again.
I'm a self-published author— because being a college student wasn't hard enough! I write YA multi-genre fiction for young adults or the young at heart. I love This Is Us, NCIS, BBC's Sherlock,
