My Bucket List
Today's All Played Out Bucket List Tour theme is 5 Musical Acts (bands/musicians) I want to see live, so without further ado, here's my list:
And then, just because I'd love to see these AGAIN, I'll add ONE MORE bonus:
And that's it! Scroll down to read more about All Played Out and my review.
Let me just say that I love all of Cora's books. I mean, seriously, how can you not? But out of the entire Losing It, Muse, and Rusk University heroines, Nell is by far the most similar to me. Her feeling like she's been working her whole life, but missing the point? Check. Wanting to make a checklist to improve her social life? Check. Exciting college adventures as a result? Still to be seen :) While Nell starts out somewhat timid in new situations, she blossoms into a strong, confident woman who I admire. And she gets an awesome boyfriend in the process. Not a bad bonus.
Still not convinced that you need to read this book? Then, let's move to the male lead of this novel.
Okay, you know why I love Nell. Now let's talk about Matteo Torres. Can I just say that his sass and fearlessness are total turn-ons? I can't? Too bad, I already did. And his self-awareness. Even after a particularly emotional scene, he is able to cool down and reassess the situation—something you never really got to see him do in the other Rusk books where he played a supporting character. A driven goofball with some emotional baggage, but a heart of gold to overcome it? Who can resist that?

First person in her family to go to college? CHECK.
Straight A’s? CHECK.
On track to graduate early? CHECK.
Social life? …..yeah, about that….
With just a few weeks until she graduates, Antonella DeLuca’s beginning to worry that maybe she hasn’t had the full college experience. (Okay... Scratch that. She knows she hasn't had the full college experience).
So Nell does what a smart, dedicated girl like herself does best. She makes a "to do" list of normal college activities.
Item #1? Hook up with a jock.
Rusk University wide receiver Mateo Torres practically wrote the playbook for normal college living. When he’s not on the field, he excels at partying, girls, and more partying. As long as he keeps things light and easy, it's impossible to get hurt... again. But something about the quiet, shy, sexy-as-hell Nell gets under his skin, and when he learns about her list, he makes it his mission to help her complete it.
Torres is the definition of confident (And sexy. And wild), and he opens up a side of Nell that she's never known. But as they begin to check off each crazy, exciting, normal item, Nell finds that her frivolous list leads to something more serious than she bargained for. And while Torres is used to taking risks on the field, he has to decide if he's willing to take the chance when it's more than just a game.
Together they will have to decide if what they have is just part of the experiment or a chance at something real.
Losing It Series
I'm a self-published author (because being a college student wasn't hard enough!) and spend most of my time doing homework. I write YA multi-genre fiction for young adults or the young at heart. I love NCIS, BBC's Sherlock,
