TCWT: How has writing affected your perception of the world?
ZH: It helps me process emotions and events better, in a weird way. In fiction, I know everything is part of a bigger plan, but in my writing (even the fantasy stuff) most of the events are rooted in realistic fears and emotions or variations of events that could happen in real life. Knowing that there's a connection from one event to another that leads to some sort of ending helps me know that "this too shall pass" and that my life has a direction, even if I don't know where it's leading me.
I'm a self-published author (because being a college student wasn't hard enough!) and spend most of my time doing homework. I write YA multi-genre fiction for young adults or the young at heart. I love NCIS, BBC's Sherlock,
